CoBRI

Community Based Research initiative for Health

CoBRI is a public-private initiative committed to public health conditions in low to middle income populations. Combining the skills of a variety of organisation to bring scientific research to communities.

CoBRI Specialisation

CoBRI leverages on the two integrated health care systems in Indonesia to implement its researches: the PUSKESMAS and the POSYANDU

PUSKESMAS

Puskesmas are government-mandated community health clinics located across Indonesia. There are an estimated 9,754 Puskesmas all across Indonesia.

Overseen by a team of general doctors, dentists, nurses, midwifes, nutritionists, pharmacist, sanitarians, laboratory staff, and non medical staffs appointed by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The Puskesmas system is proven effective for establishing front line primary health programs that are targeted at providing healthcare to the low to middle income population of Indonesia.

It is an integrated Community Health Service Center dedicated to improving and empowering basic health services to promote Maternal and child health precautions, family planning, improved nutrition, environmental health, infectious diseases prevention, medication/treatment, dental care, health education and promotion, health surveillance, and monitoring and reporting.

POSYANDU

Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (integrated service post in Indonesian), known by its acronym Posyandu. There are an estimated 266,827 Posyandus across Indonesia is a monthly clinic for young children (under age of 5 years old) and pregnant mothers.

Organised by communities, 3-5 volunteers (“cadres”) per site serve under guidance of local community health center or Puskesmas. Currently, there are more than 1 million "cadres" volunteering at the Posyandu to provide basic health services like growth monitoring for young children, basic immunisation/vaccinations, health education and nutritional supplements.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC.
